A new Women?s Issues Therapy Group will begin meeting Thursday, June 20, and successive Thursdays, 6:30-8:00pm, at the Counseling Center at Davidson United Methodist Church, 233 S. Main St., Davidson.
This group is intended to provide a warm and safe environment for women to come together to explore truth, promote healing and seek personal growth. Some topics to be discussed may include life transitions, conflicts around career and family, learning to set boundaries with family members, building self-esteem and learning to care for the self, healing from loss and past trauma, striving for perfection and approval, accepting love from others and exploring personal spirituality. Experiential techniques such as journaling, guided imagery, music, and art and body movement may be used to enhance the group process.
The group is ongoing with the exception of holidays and will be limited to between 5 and 8 members. Prior assessment is required for entry to group. If interested, contact Christine Wisdom M.S. LPCA at 704-892-6135. Cost: $40 per session
